SCG Muangthong United have completed the signing to fulfill the ASIAN quota for the 2020 season.

Fans will be very pleased with the arrival of Uzbekistani international Sardor Mirzaev, a talented attacking midfielder to bolster the possession game.

At the age of 17, Mirzaev began his professional career with Neftchi FK in eastern Uzbekistan, a club with many championships to its name.

Then in 2014 Mirzaev mae the move to join with Uzbekistani football club Lokomotiv Tashkent where the youngster developed into one of his country's top players. During this time his club captured 3 championships, and two of those doubles with FA Cup titles.

Consequently, Mirzaev has racked up considerable experience in the AFC Champions League, playing in its western divisions against many top Arab clubs and international talent.

In total, he's played in 36 AFC Champions League games, a remarkable achievement for a player only 28 years of age.

From 2009, at the age of 18, Mirzaev began to represent his country, playing in the U20 World Cup against top players such as English internationals Martin Kelly (now at Crystal Palace) and Ben Mee (Burnley FC), and Cameroon star Pierre Kunde (Atletico Madrid).

In 2015 Mirzaev featured in his first ever men's international match against South Korea, and has been a regular for his country ever since.

His role on the pitch is that of a box-to-box midfielder, containing any attack, but then on the transition pushing the ball forward into the final third and creating scoring opportunities.

His first touch on the ball is very good, and he anticipates very well by reading the game.

Most recently, Mirzaev was in Champions League action and is in match fitness, and there's a good chance he can be included in the starting XI this Saturday, February 15th, against BG Pathum United.
