OFFICIAL CLUB NEWS: SCG Muangthong United announce the signing of Bruno Gallo to the Kirin squad for the duration of 2019 and beyond. The central midfield brings extensive experience to the club, joining the club from Portuguese top league club Chaves.
Gallo will likely take on the important holding midfield role vacated by Lee Ho who left the club at the close of his contract mid-season.
Gallo began his professional career at Brazil's CR Vasco da Gama. He's since alternated between clubs in both Brazil and Portugal. He played for a season with Qatar SC in 2017-2018, knocking in four goals before joining Chaves, where he continued to score.
Said Head Coach Alexandra Gama, "Bruno is the style of player we need right now. He's able to control the pace of play from the midfield, and has good technique and passing vision. He's able to score goals, and he's going to help SCG Muangthong United have a strong second leg to the season."
Gallo is the third Brazilian player to be added to the roster, joining Heberty from last season, and the recent signing of Derley. The three players are expected to work in close concert with Coach Gama, and fans can expect to see some entertaining football played at the SCG Stadium.
Although Gallo has been training with the club since Tuesday, it's uncertain whether or not he will be selected for this Sunday's away fixture against Prachuap. The Kirin's next home match is Sunday July 7th against Bangkok United.
