Sarach Yooyen has made his return to league and cup matches.
The Kirin midfielder, and Thai national player, was injured in just the second game of the 2017 season, a match played on February 17th against Sukhothai FC. A rash tackle from behind shattered his ankle.
The Kirin medical team, in partnership with the Bangkok Hospital's BANGKOK ACADEMY OF SPORTS AND EXERCISE MEDICINE (BASEM) targeted a swift return to action. After surgery and extensive rehabilitation, the process is now complete.
Sarach was subbed into last Wednesday's FA Cup match against Lampang F.C., marking his return to official competition. The match saw the Kirin advance to the quarter finals. This Sunday the Kirin will face Bangkok United in the League Cup.
Said Sarach, "It was a thrill to be back. I want to be part of the action and to help the team towards a championship. I owe a big thanks to the medical team, the fitness coaching. Importantly, I want to thank the Muangthong United fans for their support. This Sunday's game with Bangkok United will be difficult, but I believe in my team, and we are looking for victory once again."
