Said Milos Joksic, the Swatcat Head Coach, "We tried to play a fast counter attack, but MTUTD is not easy to play against, they play a high pressing game."
With the win, SCG Muangthong United have earned their sixth straight clean sheet. More importantly the Kirin now have won 15 games straight, continuing from last season; a new Thai League record.
With Tuesday's AFC Champions League clash in South Korea looming, coach Totchtawan Sripan rested key players, with Chanathip, Xisco, and Adisorn. As well Lee Ho and Tristan Do were given the night off to speed up injury recovery, and it's a wait-and-see situation for the match with Ulsan Hyundai.
SCG Muangthong United will have little rest, as the pace of games continues at a brisk rate. Following the AFC Champions League game in South Korea, ten Kirin players have been called to the Thai
National team training camp, ahead of the March 23rd match with Saudi.
