Eight players from SCG Muangthong United will represent Thailand when the national team visits the United Arab Emirates, and Iraq, in early October.
The national team is currently competing in the third round of the AFC qualifications for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. There are 12 teams competing, and the top four will qualify for the World Cup, and the fifth place team go into a playoff with a team from the North & Central American and Caribbean conference.
The War Elephants will play in the UAE on October 6th, and Iraq on October 11th. They'll play Australia at home on November 15th.
The eight players to represent Thailand: Kawin Tamsatchanan, Teerasil Dangda, Tristan Do, Teerathon Bunmathan, Sarach Yooyen, Chanathip Songkrasin, Tanaboon Kesarat, and Peerapat Nothaiya.
Thailand's men's national football team, nicknamed 'The War Elephants' competes in international friendlies, as well as competitions such as The King's Cup, The AFF Suzuki Cup (ASEAN Championship), and others. Thailand are grouped with Australia, Saudi, Japan, UAE, and Iraq.
Home matches are played at the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok.
