Muangthong United midfielder Sarach Yuyen (Tung) has established himself as key member of the Thai National team with a solid performance on the weekend. The team will compete at the 2014 ASIAN GAMES in Korea later this month.
The War Elephants (the Thai National Team) played a friendly with Phuket F.C. Surach Yuyen (Tung) played a key role in the match, scoring with a dramatic free kick. "I am proud to have scored for the team, " remarked Tung, who along with Suriya Singmuy and keeper Kawin form the core strength of the national squad. The team will play another friendly with the Qatari national team next weekend. Their opening match at the ASIAN GAMES will be against Maldives on September 17th. They also play Indonesia and Qatar as part of Group G. Coach "Zico" is optimistic that this team, which he called "The best ever," will bring home gold for Thailand.
