ATTENDANCE: 8991 Muangthong United successfully re-started their climb back to the top of the table with a solid and thorough performance over PTT Rayong.

United's back line were formidable, and the few shots that did make it through were skillfully dealt with by keeper Kawin. Datsakon played the full 90+ minutes and led his team to victory. As coach Dragan Talajic said, "He is my mind on the field, my right hand man."

Milan Bubalo however was voted as man of the match as he was involved with all three of United's goals. The first goal came when Bubalo made it past several defenders and then sent the ball across the goal mouth to Mario Gjurovski who had an easy tap in to the net.

The second goal was a header from Cleiton Silva to Bubalo at the top of the box. Bubalo claimed after the game it was "nothing special," however he skillfully flicked the ball over the remaining defender and followed in to score.

United's third goal was also a result of Milan's efforts. Pressing in on goal Bubalo had made it past the last defender when he was brought down. The referee did not hesitate to call the penalty, and Mario netted his second of the night.

BEC TERO meanwhile lost 3-2 at Sisaket, and this allowed Muangthong United into 3 place, and just 3 points behind league leders Buriram.
