Muangthong United's new central defender Aritz Borda says he chose to play at Muangthong over other offers because he knew, "Muangthong is the strongest team in Thailand, with experience in the Asian Champions League."
Borda, 29 years of age, comes to Thailand from Greece where he spent two years with APOEL, and previous to that several years in the Spanish second division before joining Athletic Bilbao in La Liga. Head Coach Dragan Talajic had plenty of praise for Borda, promising Muangthong fans they will be amazed at the quality of this player. "For sure, he can help to make a very stable back line." Dragan Talajic further praised the Muangthong United organization for being able to bring such high quality players to Thailand. When asked specifically about about how he can help the club, Dragan Talaic explained that Borda has had plenty of experience playing under pressure. Dragan Talajic did not indicate if Borda will feature in tomorrow's Thaicom FA Cup match in Korat, only that, "We'll see."
