#mtutd Muangthong United and Army United played to a 0-0 draw in front of about 10,000 fans at the SCG Stadium.
Muangthong had the better share of chances, and fans were out of their seats several times on the expectation a goal was imminent, only to have to sit back down and wait for the next chance.
Several players had key moments when it looked like a goal was about to happen. In the last few minutes, for instance,DAGNA SIAKA struck one over the bar from near the penalty spot. ERIK PAARTALU also had a couple of solid strikes towards the net, but they were just wide. Paartalu was voted Man-of-the-Match for his efforts, on attack, but also defensively.
Muangthong's defense come out with their fourth clean sheet. The back line, along with some key saves from KAWIN THAMSATCHANAN, were strong and Army United never looked to be a strong threat.
One concern is THITIPHAN PUANGJAN who had to be stretchered off shortly before half time after he was tackled in the box while pressing on goal. He was later transferred to Bangkok Hospital.
With this draw MTUDT hold onto first place position, awaiting the result of BEC TERO's match tomorrow night against Singhtarua, whom MTUTD recently defeated 4-0.
