Kan Janrat, SCG Muangthong United's general manager, revealed that he has never doubted head coach Dragan Talajić's, ability. However, it is obvious that Talajic will need time to adjust to the style of football in Thailand, and the month break due to the 'Incheon Games 2014' allows time for the team to recuperate and build.
SCG Muangthong United currenlty are placed 4th, 8 points behind Buriram United, with 6 matches left in the competition.
Said Janarat, "We never doubted his [Dragan Talajić] abilities. As you know, he jhas only had 3 months to be with the team and learn about Thai football, and the players need time to understand the techniques and tactics that he desires.
However, there will be one month ahead to prepare the team even more. I believe that the positive skills and hard work will bring improvement, as well as emphasizing offence, team work, understanding the game plan, fitness, and mentality of each player. This is all for a chance to bring success to the rest of the season."
As for the team's next match, SCG Muangthong United will have play a special charity match with Bangkok Glass F.C. at SCG Stadium on Saturday, September 20th, at 18.00 before entering the Thai Premiere League's 33rd match against Air Force Central F.C. at Dhupateme Royal Thai Air Force Sports Stadium on Wednesday, October 8th, at 20.00.
